Whisper of the body
This educational model features five vital organs: the brain, heart, lungs, intestines, and stomach. Each organ is represented by a half-protruding shape on a board, paired with its Braille name, to facilitate tactile recognition. Additionally, a full three-dimensional representation of each organ is sculpted from plasticine clay and painted in fluorescent colors. This approach aids children with low vision by providing a highly visible outline, while the complete sculpted form enables all children to mentally construct the organ's shape through touch.
RESEARCH
About visually impaired persons
Two categories
Worldwide, approximately 2.2 billion people have a vision impairment—around 27% of the world’s population.
Total Blindness (Complete Vision Loss)
This refers to the absence of light perception or only minimal light perception, with no improvement possible through corrective measures. This group typically relies on tactile and auditory aids (such as white canes and screen-reading software) for daily activities.
Low Vision (Partial Vision Retention)
Involves retaining some residual vision, which may be enhanced with magnifying devices, high-contrast tools, or specialized lighting to improve daily functioning
SKETCH
Process
Step One
Carved and make human organs with stone-plastic clay
Step Three
Color with the fluorescent color of acrylic paint
Step Two
After the clay sculpture is completely dry, sand it with sandpapers of different thicknesses blind and visually impaired
Step Four
Reinforce with nail art sealing layer lamps
